Ossining Celebrates Inauguration, Installation Of New Police Chief

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Residents, family, friends and neighbors are invited to the Inauguration Day festivities at the Ossining Public Library as all newly elected officials and the new police chief are sworn into office on Friday.

Lt. Kevin Sylvester will be sworn in as the village of Ossining's new police chief during a ceremony at noon Friday.

Those being inducted into office include: Lt. Kevin Sylvester, who will become the new chief of police; Manuel Quezada, Rika Levin and Quantel Bazemore as village trustees; Dana Levenberg as town supervisor; Karen D'Attore and Elizabeth Feldman as Town Council members; Mary Ann Roberts as village clerk; Michael Tawil and Mark Reitman as town justices; Michael O'Connor as highway superintendent; and Catherine Borgia as Westchester County legislator.

The event kicks off at noon, with a reception immediately following.
