OSSINING, N.Y. – Saturday is Kids Health and Safety Day at the Ossining Community Center to give families the opportunity to learn from police and fire first responders.
Activities give kids the chance to explore the inside of a police car, fire truck and ambulance. They’ll receive Internet safety tips, ways to deal with bullying, watch a police helicopter land, meet a K-9 dog, among other activities.
Kids Health and Safety Day will be held Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Ossining Community Center is located at 95 Broadway.
The following groups organized the event: Ossining Police Department, WCDPS, Ossining Fire Department, Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Ossining Park and Recreation, Phelps Memorial Hospital, Ossining PTAs, Ossining SEPTO & “Hope for Michael.”
