Ossining Offers Cooling Center During Heat Wave

OSSINING, N.Y. -- With the oppressive heat and humidity refusing to break, the town of Ossining is offering a free cooling center at the Joseph G. Caputo Community Center.

The cooling center will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. while the heatwave continues.

The Community Center is located at 95 Broadway.

The town reminds residents that the town pool is open daily and on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. The Waterfront Spray Park is open daily from 12-6 p.m., and is located in Louis Engel Waterfront Park.

The forecast through early next week shows no end in site for the hot weather, with temperatures staying in the high 80s and low 90s.
