The village has been coming back to life in recent years through community events like street fairs and farmers’ markets, and economic growth, especially in the housing area, The New York Times’ piece said.

Ossining has many claims to fame, but The New York Times chose to highlight the role the village played during the Revolutionary War, the fact that it is home to the famed Sing Sing prison, and that it is the fictional haunts of Don Draper, a character on TV’s “Mad Men.”
