OSSINING, N.Y. -- Cedar Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center resident Margaret Coriam assisted in planting a Sargent apple tree on the facility's Ossining grounds in celebration of Arbor Day.
The colorful and fragrant tree will enhance the already lush Hudson River Valley property, Cedar Manor staff said. Studies have shown patients with garden views heal faster and have fewer medical complications, said Cedar Manor staff.
