KC reluctantly goes to the clinic where he meets Peaches, a young woman who gets involved with him because of her need to be loved.

Sarah must also contend with her ex-husband Max who is trying again after having failed at several business ventures. A Short Walk Into Sunshine is a story about last chances for its characters and their struggles to overcome the past.
