The Brinn Center is expected to nearly double the hospital's capacity.
The Brinn Center within the emergency department at MHRH is designed to meet the needs of patients and their families in crisis. The MidHudson Regional team of behavioral health and medical experts work together to address a patient’s needs and enable them to reach the highest possible level of recovery.
“The expanded capacity allows for an enhanced patient experience in the main ED, our minor treatment Fast-track section, and the Brinn Center,” said Teri Egitto, RN, director of surgical and emergency services at MHRH.
“Additionally, the new space enables us to reduce wait times for all patients, by facilitating better flow throughout the ED.”
“This is a very exciting time at MidHudson Regional,” added Art Nizza, president of MHRH. “Our newly expanded emergency department is another sign of the significant investments that are happening on our campus.”
The renovation, which was more than a million dollars, was funded by a HEAL NY grant, and generous donations from the Children’s Dream Foundation and the Dyson Foundation.
It was also championed by Monsignor Brinn who helped dedicate the center.
