OSSINING, N.Y. – More than 75 area business owners participated in a recent networking event at the Mike Risko Music School in Ossining.
The event, sponsored by the Hudson Barter Exchange, featured opportunities to exchange business cards while listening to live music, according to a press release.
The Hudson Barter Exchange hosts three major business networking events each year.
Tarrytown couple Karen and Kevin Brown started the Hudson Barter Exchange in 2008.
The organization’s aim is to help local business owners help each other by exchanging assets, such as open appointment slots, unsold tickets and excess inventory.
"There are two ways for a business owner to increase the profitability of their business - increase their customer base and reduce their cash expenses,” said Kevin Brown, chief exchange operator, in a press release. “We help companies do both."
