Man, Woman From Area Sentenced For Killing Chef, Son Inside Home A Hudson Valley couple has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a popular chef and his brother during a home burglary in 2021. Orange County residents Chasity Cutway, age 38, and David Host, age 33, of both of Walden, were sentenced on Friday, April 29. Cutway and Host were convicted of the Jan. 13, 2021, slayings of 41-year-old Glenn Travis and 18-year-old Derek Travis at their home on Murphy Road in Swan Lake in Sullivan County, said Sullivan County District Attorney Meagan Galligan. Man Charged For 2017 Slaying Of 47-Year-Old In Hudson Valley A suspect from Westchester County has been charged for a 2017 slaying in Sullivan County. Naheem Liles, 22, of Mount Vernon has been charged with felony second-degree murder in connection with the Sept. 30, 2017 shooting death of Shaun Chadwick, 47, of Liberty.  Liles was arrested on Thursday, June 4 in New York City by officers from the Monticello Police Department, Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office and New York State Police. Alert Issued For Wanted Area Man An alert has been issued by New York State Police in Wurtsboro for a wanted man who was allegedly busted with crack cocaine during a traffic stop in Monticello. Malcolm Hagans is wanted by State Police and the Sullivan County Court after being arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Hagans, 33, was stopped in Monticello by State Police troopers in 2017 after committing a vehicle and traffic violation. Motorist Throws Loaded Firearm Out Of Car Window After Being Stopped, Monticello Police Say An 34-year-old man was arrested for possession of a gun following his arrest for being a fugitive from justice. Members of the Monticello Police, with assistance from the New York State Police, arrested Elgin “Ghost” Cotto, 34, of Champlin, Minnesota, on Wednesday on a warrant in connection with a Feb. 28 traffic stop. During the February incident, Cotto was stopped by Monticello Police for a vehicle and traffic violation on Fulton Street in the Village of Monticello, said Lt. Mark Johnstone.
