Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Director/Content, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 15 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations as the Managing Director/Content in the fall of 2017.

Fatal Wrong-Way Crash: Victim ID'd After Vehicles Collide Head-On In Orange County One person was killed in a wrong-way, midday crash in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 11:45 a.m. Friday, June 2 in Orange County on I-84 westbound near mile post marker 11 in the town of Wawayanda. Fatal Hit-Run Crash: SUV Strikes Man, Then Hits Another Vehicle In Port Jefferson Station Police are searching for a suspect after a fatal overnight hit-and-run crash on Long Island. It happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday, June 2 in Port Jefferson Station. A male pedestrian was crossing Route 112 eastbound, south of Rose Avenue, when he was struck by an unknown SUV heading southbound on Route 112 that fled the scene, then struck by a second southbound vehicle that remained at the scene, Suffolk County Police said. Former Rockland Podiatrist, Sister Charged In Alleged New Plot To Kill Wife A podiatrist from the Hudson Valley has been accused of trying to get his wife killed for a second time, this time with the alleged aid of his sister. Rounds Of Storms Bring Big Shift In Temperatures, Cool, Comfortable Weekend A strong cold front packed with scattered thunderstorms, some of which were severe, has led to a big change in temperatures. Saturday, June 3 will be mostly cloudy skies with a high temperature in the mid 60s, according to the National Weather Service. Strong, Gusty Storms Now Sweeping Through Region: Here's Latest Scattered thunderstorms, some severe, are moving across the region ahead of a strong cold front. Some of the storms, which began in the middle of the afternoon Friday, June 2, have been packed with heavy downpours, and gusty winds. Humpback Whale Carcass Found On Long Island Authorities are working to determine the cause of death of a humpback whale that was found on Long Island. At about 4 p.m. Thursday, June 1, the carcass of the whale floated into Shinnecock Bay in Southampton. Southampton Town Police officers and staff from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and Atlantic Marine Conservation Society then arrived on the scene. Sexual Predator Sting: Attorney Nabbed After Arranging To Meet Girl In Rockland, DA Says An undercover investigation in the Hudson Valley has led to the arrest of a Long Island attorney who is accused of preying on a minor using online platforms.
