Orangeburg Resident Mowing Lawn Struck, Killed By Car Driven By Impaired Man, Police Say
A 53-year-old Rockland man mowing his lawn was killed after being struck by a car being driven by an impaired driver, police said.
It happened on Wednesday, July 15 at about 5:45 p.m. in Orangeburg.
A 2010 Toyota Corolla, operated by Jared S. DeVera, 29, of Englewood, was traveling southbound on Lester Drive, when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a man later identified as Giovanni Boiano, of Orangeburg, Orangetown Police said.
Boiano, who was mowing his lawn at the time, died of injuries sustained in the crash, police said.

A 31-year-old man was arrested after allegedly causing a crash while he was high on Xanax that sent three juveniles to the hospital
Joseph C. Stovenken, Garnerville, was arrested by Rockland County Sheriff's deputies following the crash around 9:25 p.m., Thursday, May 21, in Ramapo, said Chief William Barbera.
The accident occurred in front of a Rockland County deputy at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and the Palisades Interstate Parkway exit 11 ramp.

Rockland Men Charged With Stalking, Posting Personal Info Of North Jersey Police Officers
Two Rockland men waged a harassment campaign against dozens of North Jersey police officers, researching and posting personal information about them online through what’s known as “doxing,” Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Wednesday.
Evan V. Koulikov, 21, of Spring Valley “unlawfully accessed a secure database of a New Jersey medical services company and unlawfully copied the personal identifying information of approximately 50 public employees,” most of them police officers, Musella said.
