Days after officers from the Ramapo Police Department found an abandoned boat on West Eckerson Road in Hillcrest, investigators found a 20-foot trailer on Grandview Avenue near Wesley Chapel Road. The boat was found late on Thursday, Aug. 15, blocking the right lane before it was towed away. The trailer was found on Wednesday, Aug. 21. Both have been removed by police. Authorities: Rabbi Father Of 7 Drowns Trying To Save Kids In Greenwood Lake UPDATE: The body of a Ramapo rabbi who drowned trying to help two of his seven children into a boat on Greenwood Lake was recovered Monday, authorities said. Two children wearing life vests "were having difficulty getting into" a pontoon boat, so David Z. Traub jumped in just north of the Sportsmen's Marina at Lakeside Avenue in Hewitt on the New Jersey side, Greenwood Lake Police Chief John Hansen said.
