Two people were hospitalized after becoming trapped inside a flipped car following a crash on Interstate 287 in Westchester. The incident happened on Sunday, Aug. 20 around 1:45 a.m., when emergency crews were sent to a crash on I-287 in Purchase in the area of mile marker 9.0, according to the Purchase Fire Department. A tractor-trailer fire on a highway in Westchester caused a plume of smoke to soar into the air as the vehicle was fully engulfed. It happened on Saturday, April 2 in Purchase at the post office located at 3003 Purchase St., officials said. The identities have been released of the victims of a double-fatal, chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles in Westchester.
