Just in time to stock up on plenty of champagne, one lucky Hudson Valley player took home a second-place prize for Powerplay worth a whopping $200,000. The player picked four correct numbers plus the Powerball for Saturday, Dec. 3 game in Rockland County in Pearl River, said New York Lottery officials. Police Searching For 'Naked' Man Who Exposed Himself To Pearl River Woman
Police in the Hudson Valley are searching for a man who allegedly got out of a car completely naked and exposed himself to a woman. The incident took place in Rockland County in Pearl River around 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19 in the area of Cara Drive and Pinto Road. According to Capt. Michael Shannon of the Orangetown Police, the woman told officers she was walking toward her house when she saw an Asian man get out of a black Honda Accord completely naked who then turned towards her and exposed himself. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of the area. The warning, which went into effect at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8, covers most of Rockland County and parts of Northern Bergen County. Body Of Missing Man With Pearl River Ties Found At Garden State Parkway Rest Stop: Sources
The body of a missing Rockland County native was found at a Garden State Parkway rest stop in Montvale, New Jersey, just south of the state border, on Tuesday, Nov. 29, responders said. No foul play was suspected in the death of Brian Lenihan, they said. Lenihan, age 43, who most recently lived in Wilmington, North Carolina, was reported last seen on Friday, Nov. 18 in New Jersey. Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a man was struck on a Hudson Valley roadway overnight. The incident happened in Rockland County around 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 13 in Pearl River. A Hudson Valley man is facing weapons charges after a multi-agency investigation led to the discovery of ghost guns and weapon silencers. Rockland County resident Timothy Lewis, age 42, was arrested and charged following a search of his Pearl River home, Rockland County Sheriff Louis Falco III announced on Tuesday, Aug. 9. A man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle and hitting a guide rail in the area, police said. Christopher Taussi, age 25, of New City, in Rockland County was killed around 10:45 p.m., Monday, Oct. 11, on Route 304 in Pearl River. A man convicted in the 1980 killing of a Hudson Valley teenager has been granted parole. Robert McCain, age 60, will be allowed to be released as early as Tuesday, Aug. 3, said the state Department of Corrections and Supervision. A Rockland County home was destroyed by a heavy fire over the weekend. The fire began around 2:40 a.m., Sunday, April 11 at 28 Van Nostrand Place in Nanuet, said the Nanuet Fire Department.
