City of Peekskill Police Department Chief Don Halmy announced his plan to retire as of Saturday, Sept. 25, after more than 22 years with the department. Stolen Car Suspect Nabbed In Hudson Valley A law enforcement tip led to the arrest of a man who was allegedly driving a stolen car in Northern Westchester, State Police said. New York State Police troopers and the City of Peekskill Police Department received a tip shortly before 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, regarding a stolen 2020 Acura TL that was stolen out of New York City. The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 3 at about 2:25 a.m. in Peekskill on Seymour Lane, Responding Peekskill Police officers found Jonathan Martin, a 27-year-old Peekskill resident, inside the living room of the occupied residence, according to Lt. The crash happened on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at about 8:20 p.m. in Orange County on Route 9W in the Town of Highlands near the United States Military Academy at West Point.
