Teen Driver Smoked Marijuana Before Crash In Region Killing 14-Year-Old, Police Say An 18-year-old man is facing vehicular manslaughter charges in connection with an alleged DWI crash in the region that killed a 14-year-old girl. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday, June 29, in the town of Waterford. Police said Everhett Hatlee, of Troy, was driving a Dodge Charger on Fonda Road when he lost control and rolled his vehicle near White Street.  The crash killed 14-year-old Kiera Ebert and seriously injured her 16-year-old brother. State Police Issue Alert For Man Wanted For Endangering Welfare Of A Child An upstate man who was arrested after being caught striking a child in the head is wanted by New York State Police. An alert was issued by New York State Police for Devin Sylvester, who is on the run following his arrest in 2018 for child endangerment. Police said that Sylvester is wanted on a bench warrant out of the Duanesburg Town Court after he failed to appear in court to respond to the child endangerment charge.
