Highland Woman Killed After Car Strikes Transit Bus A Hudson Valley woman was killed after losing control of her car on a snowy roadway and striking a transit bus. State Police were dispatched to a stretch of Route 28 in Shandaken at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon, where there were reports of a driver who had lost control of a Kia going west, crossing into the eastbound lane and striking an Ulster County Area Transit Bus, which was traveling east.
