On Friday, Nov. 13, interim New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero issued an alert to parents cautioning that there were newly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases from students at Daniel Webster Magnet School and Columbus Elementary School. Covid-19: More Students, Staffer At Hudson Valley Schools Test Positive Five new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in three Westchester schools. Interim New Rochelle Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero said that two students at Henry Barnard Early Childhood Center have tested positive for the virus, as has a second student at Columbus Elementary School and a classroom aide at Columbus. Mahopac Resident Named New Schools Superintendent Anthony DiCarlo is the new man in charge of Mahopac's public schools. DiCarlo, who lives in Mahopac, was given a five-year contract by the Mahopac Board of Education at Thursday's meeting to be the district's new superintendent. DiCarlo, who serves as principal of Trinity Elementary School in New Rochelle, starts on Feb. 26.
