Trench Collapse Traps Victim At Residence In Hudson Valley This story has been updated. Emergency responders in Westchester had to free a victim who was trapped in a trench collapse.  The collapse happened on Friday, March 10 in Yonkers at a residence at 15 Frederic Place when a person was waterproofing the foundation of the home, according to Yonkers Police.  Members from the Yonkers PD and Fire Department were eventually able to rescue the person by 5:50 p.m. on Friday. Two Workers Rescued After Trench Collapses In Dutchess Emergency workers are on the scene of a trench collapse that trapped two workers. The incident took place just after 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 10, in front of a home on Dwight Street, reported Poughkeepsie Mayor Rob Rolison. The men were reportedly working on a sewer line and were in a trench about 10-feet deep when it collapsed. One person was rescued and rushed to a local hospital for treatment, the Mayor said on Facebook.
