Three men who are part of a violent street gang have been charged with stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from Home Depot stores on several occasions in the Hudson Valley. The three men, all from Brooklyn, were busted in Dutchess County around 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29 in the village of Wappingers Falls. The fourth member of a Westchester street gang has been sentenced for his role in the fatal shooting of a promising teenage basketball standout. Sincere Savoy, age 25, a member of the Mount Vernon Goonies street gang, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for his participation in the 2016 murder of Shamoya McKenzie on New Year’s Eve in 2016 in Westchester. A 16-year-old has been indicted for allegedly fatally shooting a man in Westchester County in an incident caught on video. The Yonkers Police Department reported that the Delaware teen was booked by police on Monday, Aug. 9 on the charge of second-degree murder in the death of Javon Merrill, age 27, of Yonkers.
