Two sections of County Route 83, which extends from Amenia to Pine Plains, are currently closed due to downed trees. An alert was issued by state police investigators on Friday, Jan. 7 as they attempt to locate suspects who have been removing copper from multiple substations in northern Dutchess County. State Police began the investigation of a robbery at the Bank of Millbrook’s Stanfordville Branch, located at 11 Hunns Lake Road, in the Town of Stanford on Aug. 7, 2017 at approximately 1:13 p.m. A male subject entered the bank, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and stole over $12,000 in cash, police said.
