29-Year-Old Area Man Shot To Death, Police Say A 29-year-old Hudson Valley man was found shot to death after police responded to a Shotspotter activation. The incident took place in Orange County in the city of Newburgh around 11:50 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 in the area of Lake Drive. When officers responded to the activation, they found a Newburgh resident who had been shot in the upper chest and bicep, said the City of Newburgh Police. Officers immediately performed CPR and attempted to render lifesaving aid, police said. The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead, police said…

One Injured In Shots-Fired Incident In Area, Police Say One person was injured during a shots-fired incident in the area. It happened in Orange County around 1:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23 in Newburgh, on Liberty Street. According to Newburgh Police, officers responded to the area of 79 Liberty St. for a Shotspotter report of five shots fired. Less than a minute later the department received another report of rounds fired on Washington Street, police said. Officers located nine expended shell casings in the area of 77 Liberty St. A 28-year-old Newburgh man was shot in the ankle and sustained non-life threatening injuries, police said.…

Area Man Found Shot In Groin, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was shot in the groin after police responded to a Shotspotter alert. The incident took place in Orange County in the City of Newburgh around 5:40 p.m., Monday, June 6. The unidentified man was shot in the area of 69 South St., in the parking lot of the Varick Homes Condominium Complex, said city of Newburgh Police. Man Shoots Woman, Takes Police On Foot Chase Through Yards In Area, Police Say An area man was arrested for allegedly shooting a woman and then fleeing from police. Anthony Nash, age 34, was arrested around 5:30 a.m., Saturday, April 24, when the City of Newburgh Police received a gunshot notification from ShotSpotter in the area of Montgomery Street and Clinton Street, said the Newburgh Police.
