Inmate Dies At Jail In Region; Investigation Underway An investigation is underway after an inmate died at a jail in the region. Staff at the Schenectady County jail discovered 53-year-old Hussayn McCain unresponsive in his cell at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, according to the sheriff’s office. Officers and medics attempted to revive the man, but he was later pronounced dead at Ellis Hospital. Sheriff’s officials did not speculate on a possible cause of death. 17-Year-Old Dies In ATV Crash In Region A 17-year-old boy has died following an ATV crash in the region, authorities said. Emergency crews in Schenectady County were called at around 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, with reports of an ATV crash with injuries in Duanesburg, on Batter Street. State Police said Connor Summerfield, of Howes Cave in Schoharie County, was driving the ATV with a 14-year-old passenger when the vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment.
