Route 9 Road Closure Scheduled In Dutchess The New York State Department of Transportation is warning motorists of the upcoming road closure on a busy stretch of Route 9. The Department says that a road closure is scheduled for Route 9 northbound and southbound between Elm Street and Merritt Boulevard in Dutchess. The closure begins Thursday, Aug. 29 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.
