Crash Slows Traffic On Taconic Parkway In Dutchess County Separate crashes have been reported on parkways in the Hudson Valley. One happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 18 on the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway at Exit 19 (Perkins Memorial Drive in Stony Point), near the border of Rockland and Orange counties. Traffic is backed up to Exit 17 (Anthony Wayne Recreation Area in Bear Mountain). Multiple vehicles were reportedly involved in the incident. Woman, Man Killed In Separate Dutchess Crashes Two separate fatal crashes that occurred over the weekend in the area are under investigation. The first crash took place around 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, on Route 82, near Clove Branch Road in East Fishkill, said Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt. John Watterson. That investigation revealed that Jenna A. Wilkins, 24, of Hopewell Junction, was walking northbound on an unlit portion of Route 82 when she was struck by a 2007 Hyundai SUV, Watterson said. Man, 38, Caught After Breaking Into Route 82 Residence, Police Say A man attempted to evade police officers after he was caught on camera breaking into a home and stealing items. Officers from the East Fishkill Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Route 82 shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, where there was a report of vandals inside the house.
