Day 4: Latest Update On Central Hudson Power Restoration In Dutchess Nearly 85 percent of the 74,000 customers of Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation impacted by Tuesday’s damaging storm have had power restored, following a restoration effort to clear trees, open roadways and repair the electric system.  Approximately 13,000 outages remain in nearly 400 individual damage locations, primarily in heavily impacted areas of southern Dutchess and northeast Orange counties, where excessive tree damage remains a concern. Storm Causes 70,000 Power Outages In Dutchess Update, 1:15 p.m. As of 1:15 p.m. on Friday, a Central Hudson Gas and Electric spokesperson announced that 70,000 outages have been reported, with more than 700 individual damage locations to be addressed.  "Outages and damage locations continue to be reported as the heavy snow and winds continue.
