Crash Involving Police Officer Leaves 1 Dead In Region A man is dead following a car crash involving a police vehicle in the region. The Rensselaer County crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in Troy near Hoosick and 15th streets, according to Troy Police. Investigators said a Troy Police officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call with lights and sirens on when he collided with a civilian vehicle. Following the crash, the officer and several witnesses rendered aid to the 30-year-old driver of the other car. One Killed In Crash Involving School Bus In Area One person was killed during a two-vehicle crash between a school bus and a dump truck in the Hudson Valley. It happened around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14 in Ulster County, on Route 9W in the town of Saugerties. Bicyclist Killed After Being Hit By Pickup Driver From Red Hook A fatal accident involving a 33-year-old Dutchess County motorist whose pickup truck hit a bicyclist in Ulster County is under investigation, according to the Ulster County Sheriff's Office. The accident occurred around 6:20 p.m. Monday when Michale C.
