Fatal-Hit Run Dutchess Crash: Female Suspect Nabbed After SUV Strikes Woman A female suspect who fled the scene has been apprehended after a woman who was struck by an SUV on a busy roadway in the region died, according to authorities. The incident happened around 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21 in Dutchess County on Merritt Boulevard near Vanderbilt Way in the town of Fishkill. The crash was reported to the state police at approximately 10:10 a.m. Saturday. Two Dutchess Residents Charged With DWI In State Police Stops Several area residents were among 11 taken off the road for alleged impaired driving. Local residents charged include: Westchester County On Friday, Feb. 15, State Police troopers from Brewster arrested Jose M. Lopez Gonzalez, 38, of Mount Kisco, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law, a felony, and Endangering the welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor. He was traveling on I-684 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
