Man Holds Police At Bay In Pleasant Valley For 5 Hours An attempt to serve an arrest warrant in the region led to a five-hour standoff with law enforcement. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at around 11 a.m. on Monday, July 1, on Route 44 in Pleasant Valley. According to Capt. Bannon, a conservative podcaster, is set to begin a four-month sentence at the federal prison in Danbury for defying a congressional subpoena that was investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots. Teen Charged For Making Shooting Threat To FDR HS, Police Say A teenage student has been charged with making a social media threat of a shooting at the high school he attends in the area. Word of the threat in Dutchess County at Franklin D. Roosevelt High School was provided to police around 9:21 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 to the Town of Hyde Park Police, said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. The post featured a picture of a bathroom wall at FDR stating there was going to be a shooting at the school the following day.
