Man Charged After Crash Into Pony-Drawn Carriage Injures Dutchess Woman A 74-year-old man has been charged after police say he struck a pony-drawn carriage and injured a Union Vale woman while under the influence. New York State Police say they arrested John Kosinski of Union Vale on Wednesday, July 24. According to police, Kosinski was traveling northbound on Chestnut Ridge Road in the town of Union Vale and struck a pony-drawn carriage carrying Mary Jean Calvi, 61, of Union Vale on Saturday, May 11.
