Motorist Found Asleep Charged With DWI, Resisting Arrest In Putnam A Danbury motorist is facing DWI charges after a Putnam deputy sheriff allegedly found him sleeping in his vehicle. The officer observed a stopped vehicle with its engine running near the intersection of State Route 312 and Independent Way in the Town of Southeast Saturday, Feb. 2 around 2:30 a.m., Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. said. Further inspection revealed that the driver, 27-year-old Jesse Bass, was intoxicated, Langley said.
