Police are investigating after a 30-year-old man was found dead inside an area hotel. The discovery was made around 7 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, in Dutchess County, authorities said. Officers responded to The Inn at Hyde Park, at 4171 Albany Post Road, for a report of a man who was unconscious and not breathing. Officers found the unconscious man, and Northern Dutchess paramedics and the Hyde Park Fire Department arrived and attempted life-saving measures but were unable to revive the man, according to Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. Red Hook Man Killed After Crashing Into Tree In Hyde Park
A Red Hook man was killed in a single-vehicle crash after smashing into a tree. Matthew M. Teixeira, 48, was found unconscious inside his vehicle around 2:58 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 in the area of 59 East Market St., said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. Teixeira was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital by Northern Dutchess Paramedics where he succumbed to his injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. The 52-year-old man who was killed in an early morning fire on Tuesday has been identified. Fire crews from Dutchess County were dispatched to a Farm Lane home in Hyde Park at approximately 1:15 a.m. Jan. 8, after the fire broke out in a house near the intersection of Route 9, Police Chief Robert Benson announced.
