Hudson Valley Man Killed After Falling Off Bike Into Path Of Car A Hudson Valley man was hit and killed after falling off his bicycle and being struck by a car. The crash took place in Orange County around 12:15 a.m., Monday, April 10 at 141 Union Street in the village of Montgomery. A preliminary investigation revealed that Andrew Schrank, age 43, from the village of Montgomery was traveling north on his bicycle on Union Street when he fell off his bike and into the roadway and was struck by a 2023 Nissan Altima also traveling north, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Man Accused Of Stabbing Grandfather In Region An area man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his grandfather. The incident took place in Sullivan County on Friday, Dec. 16, in South Fallsburg. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a report of a person who had been stabbed and sought treatment at an urgent care facility in Monticello. Once at the clinic, the man, who had been stabbed in the abdomen, was rushed by ambulance to Garnet Hospital in Harris, Chaboty said. The victim was then transported to Garnet Orange Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery.…

Police ID Victims In Double-Fatal Hudson Valley Crash State Police have released the identities of two Hudson Valley residents who were killed during a two-vehicle crash that also injured six others.  Orange County residents Nelson Vivarcampoverde, age 48, and passenger Maria Abrigo, age 36, both from Middletown, were killed around 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4, following the crash on Route 17 in Wallkill, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
