Residence Goes Up In Flames In Hudson Valley
A Hudson Valley residence was damaged in a blaze that took crews hours to put out. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Monday, April 16 around 2:40 a.m., when a residence in Brewster on Dingle Ridge Road went up in flames, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. Responding fire crews from Lake Carmel, Brewster, Carmel, Croton Falls, and the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team were able to get the blaze under control after around two hours, firefighters said. The cause of the fire was not released.

Brush Fire Breaks Out Near Busy Road In Hudson Valley
A large brush fire near a busy Hudson Valley road sent plumes of smoke into the air before crews could put it out. The blaze happened in Putnam County on Tuesday afternoon, April 9 off Route 22 in Brewster, where a large brush fire ignited, Carmel fire officials said on Wednesday, April 17. The incident prompted a large response from the Brewster and Carmel Fire Departments and sent plenty of smoke into the air before it was eventually put out. No injuries were reported.

Several residents were left homeless after a fire ripped through a popular Hudson Valley townhouse complex. The incident occurred in Orange County shortly after 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, in Chester at the Whispering Hills Complex. At least two residential buildings were destroyed during a two-alarm fire in the Hudson Valley that left 24 people homeless. The incident occurred in Orange County at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at 59 and 61 Carter St., in the city of Newburgh. According to Mike Neppl, a spokesman for the Newburgh Fire Department, arriving units found the rear of 59 and 61 Carter Street fully involved with fire, which was spreading to the interior of the buildings.
