Cable Company Employee Electrocuted While Working In Region A cable company employee was electrocuted while working on a utility pole in the region. The Albany County incident happened at around 2 a.m. Friday, April 19, in the town of Berne on Long Road. The Spectrum Cable employee was in a bucket truck performing routine equipment maintenance on a utility pole when he came into contact with an electrical line, a spokesperson for Spectrum’s parent company Charter Communications told Daily Voice. Orange County Man Found Dead Inside Truck Draped With Live Power Lines A 57-year-old man found dead inside a dump truck after officers responded to a call of downed power lines likely had a medical emergency, police said. The incident took place around 4:55 p.m., Wednesday, April 8, when Clarkstown Police responded to a medical emergency on Route 59 adjacent to the West Nyack Fire Department, in West Nyack, said Clarkstown Officer Norman Peters. ID Released For Dutchess Man Electrocuted Trimming Trees A worker who died after being electrocuted while trimming trees in a bucket lift in the area has been identified. Reynaldo Martinez-Cruz, 34, of Poughkeepsie, died following the accident that took place around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, said Town of Newburgh Police Lt. James Nenni. Martinez-Cruz was using a pole-saw in the bucket lift about 25-feet above the roadway when he made contact with live power lines at the corner of Babes Lane and Lattintown Road in the Town of Newburgh, said Nenni. An investigation into the accident is underway.

Worker Electrocuted Trimming Trees In Area, Police Say A worker was electrocuted trimming trees while in a bucket lift in the Town of Newburgh. The incident took place around 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, when the man, using a pole-saw in the bucket lift about 25-feet above the roadway, made contact with live power lines at the corner of Babes Lane and Lattintown Road, said Town of New Police Department Lt. James Nenni. Police said the man received injuries but could not provide more specific information pending proper notification of kin, Nenni said. This is a developing story. Area Man Electrocuted While Removing Tree Leaves Behind Wife, Two Kids A 39-year-old man who was electrocuted while removing a tree after hitting a live power line earlier this week leaves behind a wife and two children. John B. Nuzzolo, of Newburgh, died Monday around 9:17 a.m.while removing the tree at 29 Maple Road, in Cornwall-on-Hudson. He was an employee of the MTA, and the Long Island Railroad, and was a former member of Local 38. Nuzzolo is survived by his wife Syndi and his two children Aryanna and John. He was predeceased by his parents John and Bernice. Visitation will be held at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, on Friday, Sept, 7, from 2 p.m. …

Man Electrocuted While Removing Tree In Hudson Valley A 39-year-old man was killed while removing a tree in the Hudson Valley, according to police. John B. Nuzzolo of Newburgh, who was a sub-contractor for Simply Stump Grinding & Tree Removal, was working about 40-feet above the ground around 9:17 a.m. Monday to remove the tree at 29 Maple Road, said Cornwall-on-Hudson police. Nuzzolo then hit a live power line and was electrocuted and killed, police added.
