The incident took place in Dutchess County around 5:48 p.m. when the victim told police that he was approached on East Market Street in Red Hook by a shorter white male, with gray facial hair and possibly gray hair, driving a blue Chevrolet pickup truck.  According to Red Hook Police, the victim said he was walking westbound on East Market Street when the male pulled up next to him and said: "Hi, I know your father." Driver Crashes Vehicle While Using Cell Phone, Injures Passenger In Red Hook, Police Say Two people were injured when the driver of a car lost control of the vehicle while allegedly using a cell phone while driving and slammed into a telephone pole.The crash took place around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, on East Market Street at the intersection with Baxter Road in the village of Red Hook, said Red Hook Police. Investigating officers determined that a 2002 Ford driven by Dylan Gop, 25, of Grayville, and a 21-year-old passenger, were westbound on East Market Street when the vehicle left the roadway and struck the telephone pole, police said in a release.
