Residence Goes Up In Flames In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley residence was damaged in a blaze that took crews hours to put out.  The blaze happened in Putnam County on Monday, April 16 around 2:40 a.m., when a residence in Brewster on Dingle Ridge Road went up in flames, according to the Lake Carmel Fire Department. Responding fire crews from Lake Carmel, Brewster, Carmel, Croton Falls, and the Putnam County Fire Investigation Team were able to get the blaze under control after around two hours, firefighters said. The cause of the fire was not released.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8 on Route 22 in the town of North Salem, according to New York State Police. When troopers arrived, a downed utility pole and wires were observed with a fire in the roadway and a car pulled over on the shoulder, state police said. New York State Police from the Somers barracks are investigating the use of a counterfeit $100 bill at a restaurant in Croton Falls on Saturday, Jan. 27. The woman pictured here used a counterfeit $100 at Frank's Pizzeria on West Cross Street in Croton Falls at approximately 4:04 p.m., police said. She then left the area in a 2003 gray Honda Accord.
