All eight deaths occurred in Schenectady between Saturday, July 1, and Saturday, July 8, according to police. The most recent occurred in the city’s Stockade neighborhood. Staffer Kicked Child At Facility In Rhinebeck, State Police Say A staff member at a local childcare facility is facing charges after kicking a child, according to police. New York State Police say that a male staff member at kicked a child victim while working at the Astor Home for Children in Rhinebeck. Astor Home for Children is a facility sponsored by Catholic Charities in the Archdioceses of New York that provides mental health services to children on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
