State Police Looking For Leads In Dutchess Murder Cold Case
New York State Police are still looking for leads in the 1987 murder of an area man. The murder of Clinton Elting, 18, of the city of Poughkeepsie, was discovered on July 22, 1987, when state police found his remains on the roadside brush off Cardinal Road in Hyde Park, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Police believe the murder took place on July 18, 1987, the same night Rodney Pittmen “Dula,” was shot and wounded in the town of Poughkeepsie. Hyde Park Police Hosting 'Stop The Bleed' Life-Saving Training Course
The Hyde Park Police Department is hosting a free STOP THE BLEED training course. The course is planned for Tuesday, April 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hyde Park Police Station, at 3 Cardinal Road. This course is designed to train all participants life saving techniques in the event of an emergency. Many people who suffer traumatic injuries do not survive due to uncontrolled bleeding. Please note that seating is limited. East Fishkill previously announced offering a similar course on April 14 as reported here by Daily Voice.
