Search Underway For Fisherman Whose Boat Capsized In Area
Emergency crews were searching for a missing fisherman in the Hudson Valley Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8. State police and other first responders in Orange County were called at around 7:30 a.m. to an area of the Delaware River in the town of Deerpark with reports of a missing fisherman. Investigators determined that two men had been fishing on the river near Cherry Island State Park when their boat capsized. Two Dead After Four Boaters Pulled From Long Island Sound
A second man has died after four boaters were pulled from the cold waters of the Long Island Sound on Easter morning. "We are saddened to report one additional fatality from this morning’s water rescue on the Long Island Sound," the Stamford Fire Department announced Sunday afternoon, April 17. IDs Released For Victims Of Fatal Boating Accident At Area Reservoir
The identities have been released of the two men found dead after a New Year's Eve boating accident in a reservoir in Northern Westchester, New York State Police said. State Police have also confirmed that there are no additional fatalities involved in the incident at the Muscoot Reservoir in the hamlet of Goldens Bridge in the town of Lewisboro. Two Pulled From Water After Boat Hits Rock, Sinks In Hudson Valley
Two people were rescued from the water off New Rochelle after their boat hit a rock, stranding them in the water. The incident took place around 8:10 p.m. Wednesday near Glen Island Park, said New Rochelle Police Capt. J.C. Coyne. According to Coyne, the two unidentified people had been out boating when they hit a rock and their boat began to sink.
