Suspects Who Stole Catalytic Converters Caught By Beacon Police, Police Say
A duo who stole catalytic converters from a train station in the Hudson Valley have been caught, police said.
On Thursday afternoon, Dec. 15, police in Putnam County received two reports from people who had their catalytic converters stolen at the Garrison Train Station, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
After an investigation, two suspects were identified and taken into custody by the Beacon Police Department, according to authorities.

Man Killed, Officer Injured In Head-On Dutchess County Crash, Police Say
A 49-year-old man was killed and an officer injured during a two-vehicle head-on crash.
It happened in Dutchess County shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, in Beacon.
Derron E. Holmes, of Beacon, was killed in the crash involving a Subaru Outback and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
According to Det. Sgt. Jason Johnson, of the Beacon Police Department, Holmes was driving the Subaru in the area of Fishkill Avenue in Beacon, when he collided head-on with the Jeep.

Man, Woman Charged In Connection With Home Burglary In Pleasant Valley
A man and woman have been arrested and charged in connection with a home burglary in the area.
Troopers responded to Bower Road in the town of Pleasant Valley for a report of a burglary on Tuesday, Jan. 29.
An investigation found 21-year-old Christian Rivera of Wappinger illegally entered a residence and stole multiple items including an LG television, Xbox console, Amazon Fire tablet, a watch, and a gold necklace, state police said. The stolen items were then recovered from the possession of 23-year-old Ashley Kelly of Poughkeepsie, according to police.
