Two Injured In Motorcycle-Minivan Crash On Route 206: Nysp Two people were injured after a motorcycle struck a minivan on Route 206 in Sussex County on the evening of Monday, Sept. 2, authorities said. At 6:29 p.m., a Chrysler minivan was stopped in traffic, waiting to turn left on Route 206 north in Sandyston Township when it was struck in the back by a motorcycle, Charles Marcha, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. The driver of the motorcycle and driver of the minivan were transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Marchan said. The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

Man Killed In Newark Shooting: Prosecutor A 33-year-old Newark man was fatally shot on the early morning of Monday, Sept. 2, authorities said. Darryl Craft was found unconscious and unresponsive near 139 Chadwick Ave. at 12:10 a.m., the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. Denville Rallies Around Family After House Fire A family lost their home in a house fire on Friday, Aug. 30, and the Denville community is coming together to help. A fundraiser has been launched for the Jones family to support them following the fire. As of Tuesday, Sept. 3, more than $33,892 has been raised. Man Stole Jewelry From Hackettstown Pawn Shop A 24-year-old Mansfield Township man was arrested on Monday, Aug. 26 and charged with stealing jewelry from a pawn shop in Hackettstown, authorities said. At 12:11 p.m., officers responded to The Gold Mine at 176 Main St. on a report of a theft, Hackettstown Police said. The man entered the store and asked to see several pieces of jewelry, police said. While the victim was distracted, the man stole four pieces of jewelry, valued at $250 and exited the building, police said. Shots Fired In Franklin Township: Police Gunshots were fired in Franklin Township on the early morning of Sunday, Sept. 1, authorities said. At 1:15 a.m., Franklin Township Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting gunshots heard in the area of Franklin Boulevard, between Matilda Avenue and Baier Avenue, officers said. Police located several gunshot rounds but said no injuries were reported. The incident is currently under investigation by the Franklin Township Police Department Investigative Division, officers said.

Man Spat At Security Staff At Denville Hospital: Police A 28-year-old Morristown man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, Aug. 28 with assaulting a healthcare worker at a hospital in Denville, authorities said. At 12:30 a.m., officers responded to St. Claire's Hospital on a report of an assault on hospital staff, Denville police said. Upon arrival, hospital staff told police Jordan K. Ali was combative with hospital staff members and spat on security staff while being restrained, authorities said. Ali was charged with assault of a health care worker, police said.

Long Island Man Busted For Dealing $27K Worth Of Cocaine In Morristown: Prosecutors A 30-year-old Long Island man was arrested in Morris County last week and charged with distributing cocaine in Morristown, authorities said. Alex Bravo-Castro, a Uniondale resident, sold 350 grams of suspected cocaine in Morristown on Thursday, Aug. 29, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll and Chief of Detectives Robert McNally said. The street value of the drugs was $27,000, authorities said. Bravo-Castro was charged with multiple counts of intention to distribute cocaine in the amount of 5 oz. or more, authorities said.
