Chloe was one of many dogs who spent their lives cramped in a tiny crate, breeding litter after litter, in a practice known as "backyard breeding," where dogs like Chloe are being used to produce puppies for profit by their owners. Family and friends are raising funds for Richie Rubino, who suffered life-threatening injuries in the accident, spent two weeks in the ICU at Westchester Medical Center and underwent spinal cord surgery.
