POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The Poughkeepsie-based Mid-Hudson chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club has a long list of things to do for outdoorsy folks this winter.
The nonprofit club hosts a number of regularly scheduled hikes and ski and snowshoe outings in addition to social gatherings, according to its newsletter.
Mid-week hikes of varying difficulty, followed by light refreshments, are set for Thursdays in January and February. These will be led by Ginny Fauci (firstname.lastname@example.org/(845) 399-2170), or Lalita Malik (Lalitamalik@aol.com/(845) 592-0204.
There will also be weekday hikes. These will be led by Sally Decker. To contact her, call (845) 454-4206.
To get on the list for the group’s Quick Response X-C Ski, contact Russ Faller at email@example.com.
The group’s Skills for Hills X-C Ski Workshop will be held on a to-be-announced date. Participants will ski on ungroomed woods roads at Fahnestock State Park. This is not a class for beginners.
