Ashley M. Bickford, 27, and Angela L. Johnson, 28, both of the Town of Poughkeepsie, were arrested on Tuesday, March 26, for an incident that took place at the R&K Deli on Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie on Wednesday, March 13, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber.

According to Faber, the incident began as a verbal argument over a car alarm that escalated into a physical fight where the women struck the victim and stole her purse containing cash, credit cards, and a necklace, said Faber.

As the victim attempted to drive away from the area, Bickford allegedly caused damage to her vehicle, he added.

Both women were charged with two counts of robbery and assault. Bickford was also charged with criminal mischief.

Bickford was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash/$50,000 bond.

Johnson was also remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash/$20,000 bond.

Both are due to appear in court on March 27.
