RED HOOK, N.Y. -- A Red Hook woman is facing several charges after allegedly nearly striking a police car and subsequently leading authorities on a chase across county lines on Saturday, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
After nearly hitting the Red Hook squad car, Jennifer L. Benassutti, 43, reportedly failed to comply with officers and fled into Columbia County at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
The chase ended when Benassutti reportedly lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree. She was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and unlawfully fleeing a police officer, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
