RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- A Rhinebeck man was arrested on Christmas for allegedly attacking another man Christmas Day, New York State Police said.

Antonio Houjaca, 36, was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree menacing after troopers responded to a disturbance that occurred at a home in the Village of Rhinebeck around 1:26 a.m. Dec. 25.

Troopers said they interviewed the victim who reported that Houjaca had punched him in the face causing a laceration above his eye and then threatened him with a knife before leaving the home.

Houjaca was arraigned before the Village of Red Hook Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 secured bond. He is due to appear before the Village of Rhinebeck Court on Jan. 7.
