Kingston Police Investigating Shooting Of 24-Year-Old Man

KINGSTON, N.Y. -- A 24-year-old Kingston man was shot in the upper body on Monday, according to Time Warner Cable News.

The man was wounded in the upper chest and is recovering at a local hospital.

The man, who has not been identified, was shot on O’Neil Street and Bruyn Avenue in Kingston, the news channel reported.

The man's grandmother told Time Warner Cable News that her grandson had been attacked outside her home by a group of individuals. She said she yelled at the group to go away and they left, as did her grandson. 

A short time later she heard a gunshot and her grandson returned home with a gunshot wound and waited until police arrived, reported TWC News. 

Kingston Police said the man was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
