DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. — Firefighters in Dutchess County were busy on Friday, Jan. 15 putting out flames in Fishkill, Pleasant Valley and Poughkeepsie, reports Poughkeepsie Journal.

Five cars went up in smoke mid-morning during a Fishkill garage fire at Vista Apartments that was visible across the Hudson River, according to Poughkeepsie Journal.

No one was injured when a mobile home at Hickory Hills Estates on Elm Lane in Pleasant Valley caught fire just after 1 a.m., reports Poughkeepsie Journal.

Malfunctioning electrical baseboard heating caused a structure fire in a third floor apartment on Fox Terrace in Poughkeepsie, according to Poughkeepsie Journal.
