Kristin Marie Mackey, 48, of Pleasant Valley died on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.

Born on July 2, 1969 in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of Robert and Sally Mackey.

Kristin was a graduate of Arlington High School. She enjoyed writing and spending time with her dog, Ella.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by daughter, Jayden, of Long Island; sister, Kelley Mackey, of Boca Raton, FL; sister, Kerry Haun, and brother-in-law, Kurt, of Lagrangeville; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

There will be no calling hours. Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations can be made in Kristin's name to Hudson Valley Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, 9 Barnes Drive, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 (www.hvars.org).

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Route 9, Hyde Park.
